To respond to COVID-19 issues, SOS Staff continuing supporting clients and volunteers with modified programs, SOS has also been working on creating new partnerships support seniors through its own and third party programs.
Measures taken to ensure safety of our clients, staff and volunteers: SOS has modified program delivery to include virtual options when applicable and appropriate. If a virtual option is not available, the program has been put on hold.
- We are conducting volunteer recruitment and training and client assessments virtually to limit in-person contact.
- Staff of SOS are set up to work remotely thereby ensuring continuity of support for our volunteers and clients.
SOS’s COVID-19 Safety Guidelines and Protocols:
The safety of our employees and community remains the Agency’s primary concern. To help ensure the safety of our employees and clients, staff and volunteers are following Public Health Directives including adhering to personal protective practices such as social distancing, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, staying home if ill, and the Mask and Face Covering Bylaw. All persons entering or remaining in the premises shall wear a mask or face covering which covers the nose, mouth and chin as required under City of Toronto by-law 541-2020.
