Created in 1981, The Society of Sharing is an incorporated, charitable, non-profit organization that provides free services to isolated, lonely and frail seniors. All our programs are designed to reduce social isolation, promote social connection, and improve the well-being of housebound clients.

Executive Director

Mariza Garcia

Executive Director

Mariza has been with Society of Sharing since 1997. She holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Divinity from the University of St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto. She is certified in Management of Human Service Organizations, Chaplaincy Studies and Essentials of Fundraising Program. She is recognized in the industry as an expert in the volunteer-based model of delivering community services and has an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing isolated seniors.

Wei Lin William Chung

President

Wei Lin William Chung is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois), who holds a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Arts degrees (Honours, Accounting) from the University of Waterloo. He has over two decades of experience at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) in various roles covering areas of Technology Investment, Change Management, Financial Performance Management, Project Management, Operational Governance and Risk Management. Currently, he is the Director of Strategic Initiatives within the Strategy and Operations group of BMO.

Erica Naccarato

Vice-President

Erica is an organizational psychologist, management consultant, and coach specializing in helping organizations be more high-performing. Presently, she is the Head of Customer Success at System-3, the only true simulation-based leadership assessment on the market. Prior to joining System-3, Erica spent the majority of her career providing strategic advisory and organizational development support to her clients in the non-profit, healthcare, mental health, and government sectors.

Rodrigo Borges

Secretary

Rodrigo Borges is a business developer with an MBA from Rotman School of Management, a post-grad degree in Administration from the University of Sao Paulo and a Bachelor's in Communications/Advertising from the University of Brasilia. He has two decades of experience in various roles in Creative Direction, Marketing, Social Media, Project Management (PMP, ACP, PSPO) and Business Development. Currently, he is the VP of Global Sales for Spin Eng. He does voluntary work as a startup mentor at the Entrepreneurship Hatchery of UofT Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering and Rotman's Creative Destruction Lab.

David Navachandrabala

Treasurer

David Navachandrabala is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry. He holds an MBA from Queens University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Adept at driving organizational success through strategic vision and innovative solutions in strategy development, project portfolio management, risk management, and management consulting. David possesses a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, regulations, and industry best practices. He has a proven track record of optimizing processes, negotiating vendor contracts, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. He is passionate about driving efficiency, mitigating risk, and delivering measurable results in dynamic and competitive environments.

G. Bansal

G. Bansal is a CPA Candidate (Ontario), who holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree in Accounting and Finance from Seneca College and a Business Management Diploma from Humber College. He has over five years of accounting and finance experience in various roles covering public accounting, fund accounting, securitization, and now healthcare.

Jonathan Glustein

Jonathan Glustein holds a B.A. from McGill University in Economics and Political Science and a JD from New York University School of Law. He is a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company in Toronto, where he helps clients solve complex business problems across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. He is passionate about charitable work and previously volunteered for numerous charities focused on seniors’ issues, including leading Zoom education sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic to help seniors connect more easily with friends and family. He is honoured to serve on the Society of Sharing Board of Directors.

Nazia Iqbal

Nazia Iqbal holds a B.Arts from McGill University and completed CFA Level II of the CFA Program. She has been working in the banking industry for almost 10 years, with experience across leading strategic programs, product strategy and relationship mgmt. She is also actively involved across various organizations as a mentor to support vulnerable and underrepresented minorities with their career development.

Fiona James

Fiona James is a seasoned nonprofit professional with over 15 years of experience, holds a BA from the University of Toronto, a PGDip in Broadcast Journalism from Seneca at York and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. She has a diverse fundraising and brand marketing background with a comprehensive understanding of the Canadian fundraising space. As the Associate Director of Mass Marketing at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Fiona has led a dynamic team that successfully grew the annual giving program from 3 to 15 members, driving revenue from $40M in 2019 to $57M in 2024. Her leadership, described as collaborative and inclusive, aligns with her philosophy: "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together." She has volunteered in the Society of Sharing's Friendly Visiting program since 2002.
