JOIN US FOR A FRIENDLY WALK AND RUN:

GET FIT, HAVE FUN & SUPPORT SENIORS HEALTH ON JUNE 11TH!


Join us for A Friendly Walk and Run on Sunday June 11, 2017, in support of Society of Sharing! This timed individual and team 5K Run, 5K Walk and 1K Walk, is a part of the Toronto Challenge, a multi-charity event coordinated by the City of Toronto, to support agencies, like Society of Sharing, who are improving the quality of life for seniors in the community. When you participate in this event, your event registration fee will support the City of Toronto’s Long-term Care Senior Homes; and the funds that you raise, through your pledges and donations, will support Society of Sharing’s vital programs and services.


REGISTER & PARTICIPATE  IN 4  EASY STEPS:



1. Click here to complete a registration form, to participate:

(Note: Seniors 64yrs+, youth under 14 yrs, and adults with disabilities pay $10).

MonsterMortgage.ca 5K Run - $20

Medical Pharmacies 5K Walk - $20

Fun 1K Walk - $20

Minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members: Family 5K/1K  - $40

Minimum of 4 and a maximum of 4 members: Team Challenge 5K Run - $70


2. Submit registration form and race fees to Donnett by Thursday      May 25th:

Email your registration form, to donnett@societyofsharing.org and call 416.413.0380 ext 224 to pay your race fee (by Visa, MasterCard and American Express).

Complete a registration form at our office and pay your race fee with cash (or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express).


3. Collect your race donation/pledge money:

Click here to set-up and share your own online donation/pledge page, allowing your friends/ coworkers/ family members to donate to you online.

Or, click here to download a donation/ pledge form, to track the donation/pledge money that you personally collect from friends/family. (Note: Please submit your donation money and completed form to our Society of Sharing Office, OR on race day).


4. Get your race kit & join us A Friendly Walk and Run on Sunday       June 11th!

Note: Please contact Donnett at donnett@societyofsharing.org if you are unable to pick up your race kit at either of the following dates.

Thursday June 8th from 5p.m.- 7p.m.

Friday June 9th from  8:30a.m. - 6p.m.

Opening announcements and warm-up starts at 8:45am, at Metro Hall at 55 John St, and the actual run and walks start at 9:30am. You can click here to view the race route.

For those taking transit, please note that TTC trains starts running at 8:00a.m on Sundays. Also, for those driving to the event, please note that there are PAID Parking Lots, close to Metro Hall.

OTHER IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION:


1. Can’t walk or run?

You can still support us by clicking here to donate to the event (tax receipts will be issued for individual donations of $20 or more).


2. Are you on social media?

Promote this event using the hashtag #Afriendlywalkandrun.


3. We make corporate giving and staff engagement easy!  

For companies with corporate volunteer programs, this event provides a great way to engage company employees in a fun and healthy way, while giving back to the community.
